As with any set top box these days one of the most important things to consider is picture quality. After all there is no point having an ultra modern TV with superb picture quality if the source supplying the picture is not up to scratch. Thankfully, the Pendoo X10 Plus does not let you down on this aspect.
The Pendoo X10 Plus is capable of not only producing HD video, it can also produce 4K Ultra HD and 3D video. It even has the capability of processing HDR10+ video which brings high-dynamic-range and wide-color-gamut content. The HDR10+ processing ability greatly enhances the contrast, color, and brightness to any video you throw at it.
Video playback is more than just exceptionally sharp and detailed. It is also remarkably smooth thanks to video playing at 60 FPS during both HD, UHD, and 3D playback. We would certainly say that the Pendoo X10 Plus produces excellent video quality and is the perfect way to push any UHD to the limit.
When it comes to sound you have several ways to output audio with the Pendoo X10 Plus. First, as you would expect, sound can easily be outputted through use of the HDMI port. This works in the exact same way as you will have already seen on other set top boxes, games consoles, and Blu-Ray players.
There is also a 3.5mm headphone jack on the rear as well as an optical output port. The optical port is perfect should you wish to connect the Pendoo X10 Plus to a separate amplifier or surround sound decoder. This will provide you with a variety of digital surround sound formats should you have a video source encoded with a surround sound track.
The Pendoo X10 Plus is equipped with a powerful Amlogic S905X2 Quad Core Cortex A53 2.0Ghz 64-bit CPU processor. This CPU processor allows the Pendoo X10 Plus to operate smoothly and quickly. Videos, music, and apps all boot quickly while even 4K ultra HD video plays back smoothly with no lag or buffering.
It is not only the powerful CPU that makes this Android box run quickly and smooth. Equipped with 4GB of RAM does not make this the most powerful Android box. However, the 4GB is more than powerful enough to make sure everything operates with no lag whatsoever.
ROM – Onboard Storage
Onboard storage is used to store apps on an Android box. While the majority of Android boxes are equipped with 8gb or 16gb of ROM, the Pendoo X10 Plus is equipped with a whopping 32gb. This means you will most likely struggle to fill it with apps.
However, should you download enough apps to fill the 32gb capacity you have the option of expanding the storage with a micro SD card. This can provide an additional 256gb of storage. Such a large amount of storage could also be filled with various video files.
If you plan on downloading and using the latest apps from the Google Play store it is important to have the latest operating system. This is why the Pendoo X10 Plus comes with the latest Android 8.1 OS pre-installed which is compatible with all the latest apps.
Because the Pendoo X10 Plus is equipped with such good hardware you will be able to update to future updates of the Android OS without any issues.
The connectivity of any Android box is very important to its operation. One of the most important aspects of an Android boxes connectivity is its network ability especially if you are using your Android box to stream content over the internet.
To make sure that this Android box streams content smoothly it is equipped with dual-band Wi-Fi 2.4G/5.8G. It is also equipped with 1000M Ethernet connectivity. Both Wi-Fi and the Ethernet connectivity provides super fast and stable streaming capabilities without buffering.
The Pendoo X10 Plus is also equipped with USB 3.0 ports which are considered ten times faster than USB 2.0. This means you will have no issues streaming even the highest quality media from a USB stick.
It was not just the ease of use that we found great. What really makes this remote control great is that it comes equipped with voice control. Voice control is exceptionally useful when it comes to searching for something to watch. Rather than scrolling through title after title you simply use your voice to ask the Pendoo X10 Plus to play whatever you want to watch. Then, like magic, this Android box will do the rest.
The overall design of the Pendoo X10 Plus is simple. The casing is simple, small, square shaped box constructed from black plastic. On the rear of the unit is the ports required to connect this Android box to your amplifier, TV, and network. On the side is the USB ports and micro SD card solt.
Round the front of this Android box, located in the center, is a small LCD display.

In fact, since this Android box has full access to the Google Play store and can have apps downloaded from the internet there number of streaming services you can access is unlimited. What We Do Not Like About the Pendoo X10 Plus
The main thing that we do not like about the Pendoo X10 Plus is the design of the case. While it is not exactly ugly, it is not exactly something that will catch your eye or enhance your home media setup. It is small enough to not require much room but personally we would have liked it to look like a piece box that would not look out of place under your TV.
The Pendoo X10 Plus is a very capable Android box. It is equipped with a great hardware specification capable of running all the latest apps with the greatest of ease. You will be able to stream all the content you can imagine as well as having access to Kodi (needs installing), IPTV, and the likes of Netflix and Amazon Prime.

If you are looking for an Android box that is future proof and capable of producing excellent video and sound this Android box should certainly be a the top of your list. Especially if you do not want to spend a huge sum of money.
